Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How much does it cost to attend PMCS?

A:  Tuition for the 2022-2023 school year is $2400.  Of that, $150 is due at registration to help cover consumable textbooks and supplies which must be ordered for a student before the school year begins.  The rest of the balance can be paid up front, or spread out across the 9 months of the school year.

Q: Does PMCS offer any scholarships?

A:  Yes, we do!  We do not offer full-tuition scholarships (everyone pays something) but we are more than willing to work with your family to make a Christian education affordable.  You would need to provide information about your family's finances, including income and any expenses you want us to know about, and how much you feel you can afford.  You would also need to fill out an application for financial aid. The board then votes on an amount and you may accept or decline enrollment based on that.  The good news is, except in very exceptional circumstances, finances aren't usually a barrier to enrollment at PMCS!

Q: Does PMCS provide bussing?

A:  Breitung Township Schools provides bussing for students who live on existing bus routes in Kingsford and Iron Mountain.

Q: Does PMCS provide breakfast and lunch?

A: No, students eat breakfast at home and bring a sack lunch.  We have a refrigerator for students to keep their food cold, if needed, and three microwaves for students to heat their lunches if desired.

Q: What extracurricular or after school activities does PMCS offer?

A:  While we can offer lots of unique experiences that larger schools cannot offer, we are limited in the extracurriculars we can provide by the number of staff we have available.  Because we are a two-teacher school, there are no additional teaching staff for activities like sports or after school clubs.  However, many families make use of community opportunities such as The Dance Studio, YMCA, etc.  There is the potential for students to be bussed directly to after school activities, once bussing is established (see above).

**We are pleased to announce that we will offer after-school care until 5:15 p.m. every day, beginning with the 22-23 school year!  Please ask for more information.

Q: Do you accept only Seventh-day Adventist students?

A:  No!  We are open to students of any denomination or religious background. However, we do provide a distinctly Adventist educational experience, so parents should expect that their child will be exposed to Adventist beliefs and world views.  Students are not required to adopt these beliefs; however, it is expected that they will be respectful of Adventist beliefs and participate in the educational program as required.  Beliefs currently or previously represented by our students include Baptist, Pentecostal, The Church of Jesus Christ, Lutheran, Catholic, non-denominational and not religious.
